Reflections of the summer!

I have had the pleasure of traveling so much this summer.  Here is a reflection of my trips:

My trip to Canada was wonderful- my friend Kerri made me feel at home and planned some great things to do.

Wednesday, July 2nd:  The day I flew in-- I got to teach clogging that evening at the South E. Edmonton Seniors Association.

Thursday, July 3rd- Taught clogging at Glen Allen Recreation Center in Sherwood Park.

Both days we chatted about clogging of course and shared videos (lots and lots of videos lol)

Sunday, July 6th-- Went to Calgary for the Stampede and chuckwagon races.

Tuesday, July 8th-  Shopped at West Edmonton Mall-- found some great clothes for work!!!  I also saw the sea lion show.  Afterwards we ate dinner and got our hair cut together.  I got cool new bangs-- like all the teenagers have now lol.

Wednesday, July 9th-- Janice Jestin came to do a workshop during Kerri's class.  It was a blast!!!  Afterwards we got to visit together-- we ended up staying up till 2.

Thursday, July 10th- we saw Janice off in the morning then that evening Kerri and I had dinner on the Edmonton Queen.  They thought I was a postcard photographer.  What can I say I love to take pictures!  Later we went to the legislature and took pictures in front of the "Welcome to Edmonton" sign. Laughing

Friday, July 11th-- We stayed home and hung out.  Kerri's husband cooked a great breakfast!  I choreographed 'Louisiana Blues' then I cooked the whole family Chicken and Dumplings from scratch.

Saturday, July 12th-- Taught all day at Glen Allen Recreation Center.  Got to teach some of my original choreography!  I had a great time with all the ladies-- they were so supportive.

Sunday, July 13th-  I got up early-- made sure everything was together then flew home!  I met a really cool girl on the airplane then found a great book as well.  What a great trip home.  I didn't get in until 11:30 that evening.

Friday, July 18th I went to Double Toe Jam-- I stayed mostly in the rapid fire room that afternoon then left early to rest for the Friday night fun dance.  That evening some ladies from Shufflin' Shoes went to Buzzard Billy's for dinner.

Later we went to the fun dance.  I cued 'Callin' Baton Rouge'-- the cloggers couldn't hear me though because the mic was going out... oh well! lol

Saturday, July 19th  I stayed in the advanced room all morning then I went to some of the other classes in the intermediate room.  Later I taught my routine 'Back of my Smile' by Kasey Lansdale.  After that I went to other classes and later got ready for the exhibition.  I performed that evening 3 times!!!

Sunday, July 20th  I headed home and rested!!

Monday, July 21st- Thursday, July 24th Headed down south to Galveston for a Deaf Educators conference.  It went alright.  I had fun riding the waves boogie boarding with my friend Laurie and her brother Rick.  We also ate at Sonny's Rick and Laurie's relatives Italian restaurant.  We had REAL spaghetti and meatballs-- nothing sweet about it!!!

Also went souvenir shopping- the last day we toured the Bishop's Palace before we went back to Dallas.
